Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Jan 20 (ANTARA Kaltim) - South Korean investor PT Magma Bio Energy Korea, plans to build a coal liquefaction facility and a power plant in the Industrial Estate and International port of Maloy in East Kalimantan.
President Director of PT Magma Bio Energy Korea, Nam Gook Park, met East Kalimantajn Governor Awang Faroek Ishak here on Monday to discuss the plan.
Park said his company was already granted the license by the regional capital investment and licensing agency (BPPMD) to build the coal liquefaction plant.
The factory will have a production capacity of 22,000 barrel of liquid coal.
He said the factory will need power supply of at least 400 megawatts, therefore the company would also build a power plant with a capacity of 1,000 to 1,200 megawatts..
Governor Awang Faroek Ishak pledged to facilitate implementation of the project. (*)
