This institution will deal with the national road in the area of ​​East Kalimantan (Kaltim) and North Borneo (Kaltara).
Head of Public Works (MPW) Kaltim H Taufik Fauzi, said that the government through the Ministry PUPR already formed BPJN VII in Banjarmasin. The scope of work of this hall includes five provinces in Kalimantan namely Kaltim and Kaltara and Central Kalimantan (Kalimantan), South Kalimantan (Kalimantan) and West Kalimantan (Kalbar).
"Policy Minister BPJN VII Banjarmasin PUPR was divided and is now standing BPJN 12 Balikpapan to handle national road in East Kalimantan and Kaltara," he said.
Currently Taufik, in this province there are two national roads along the 1,710 kilometer (km), while around 1,612 km of provincial roads that require attention and intensive treatment.
Therefore, the presence BPJN 12 Balikpapan is expected to facilitate coordination and handling and validation of national roads in East Kalimantan. Moreover, he continued, the central government under the leadership of President Joko Widodo has been committed to the success of infrastructure development program in the area.
