Samarinda, E Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - Dozens of houses in a densely populated area in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, caught fire on Sunday night.

The fire which broke out at around 10.00 p.m. on Sunday razed the houses in three neighborhood associations on Jalan Abdul Muthalib in Samarinda, spokesman for the Samarinda city government Gusti Kresna Moelya said early Monday.

"The exact source and cause of the fire are still unknown," he said adding fire fighters managed to extinguish the fire at 11.55 p.m. on Sunday.
