Samarinda, E Kalimantan (Antaranews) - East Kalimantan imported US$1.84 billion or Rp25.05 trillion worth of goods in the first five months of this year.
"The import earning in the January-May period this year was 57.32 percent higher than the import value in the same period last year," head of the provincial Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Atqo Mardiyanto said here on Tuesday.
Its imports of oil and gas were valued at US$1.31 billion or an increase of 55.58 percent year-on-year and its imports of other commodities were valued at US$524.49 million or an increase of 61.86 percent year-on-year. (*)
