Samarinda, E Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - The National Anti Drug Agency (BNN) succeeded in uncovering drug syndicate controlled by a convict inmate of the Tenggaron prison, Kutai Kartanegara of East Kalimantan.

An East Kalimantan BNN leader Comr. Muhammad Daud said here on Tuesday, the BNN officers confiscated 15 grams of methamphetamine, cash amounting to Rp76 million and other evidence from the cell of Sultan, who is called big boss by the members of the syndicate.

The money was believed to be the result of drug sales at the prison, Daud said.

He said Sultan controlled drug trafficking from his prison cell.

BNN had information about the syndicate controlled by Sultan from his prison cell after interrogation of two members of the syndicate Km and Js, who were arrested earlier. (*)
