Penajam (ANTARA News) - Participants from France, Italy, Argentina, and Japan joined the Buen Festival in North Penajam Paser District, East Kalimantan Province, on August 4-6, 2017, according to District Head Yusran Aspar.
"Artists from the four countries together with local artists enliven this festival, featuring art and cultural collaboration of the archipelago such as Bali, Java, Banjar and Toraja," Aspar remarked here on Sunday.
He noted that the Buen Festival has its own advantages when compared with other areas, because it displays the uniqueness and beauty of local culture, as well as collaboration of national and international artists.
"We hope the Buen Festival which has been held twice can become more popular to introduce the local culture to the international community," he said.
Further, Aspar expressed hope that the festival can continue to grow and become a national annual agenda, so that it can introduce North Penajam Paser District to the international level.(*)
