Samarinda, E.Kalimantan (ANTARA Kaltim) - The East Kalimantan provincial administration is rejuvenating 100 hectares of rubber plantations to increase the people`s production of the commodity.
"The rejuvenation requires 55 thousand rubber seedlings, 15 thousand kilograms of NPK fertilizer, and 100 liters of fungicide that are allocated to three farmer groups in Marangkayu Sub-district, Kutai Kartanegara District," Head of the East Kalimantan Provincial Plantation Office Ujang Rachmad stated here on Thursday.
This program to rejuvenate 100 hectares of rubber plantations is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Ujang said that the rejuvenation of the people`s rubber plantations in the district will continue in future.
The Agricultural Office also trains farmers to optimize the yield of rubber plantations and to avoid pests. (*)
