Samarinda (ANTARA Kaltim) -  Administrators of the three sports of wrestling, taekwondo and fencing in East Kalimantan have requested for foreign coaches before participating in the National Sports Week (PON) 2015.

Chairman of the National Sports Committee (KONI) of East Kalimantan, Zuhdi Yahya, said here on Tuesday that board members of the wrestling division wish to bring in a coach from Bulgaria, while those of taekwondo and fencing want coaches from South Korea.

Yahya further noted that the East Kalimantan chapter of KONI has framed an agenda related to the work contract of coaches as part of efforts to ensure good performance in the National Sports Week.

"However, the local branch of KONI and the provincial government will have to cover the expenses of the foreign coaches," he pointed out.

According to Yahya, KONI will only cover the salary mentioned in their contracts, but their expenditure on temporary accommodation and transportation during their stay in East Kalimantan will have to be borne by the provincial government. (*)
